There’s nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked goods. And on Lung Cancer Day (1st August), the Ingham foyer was flooded with the wafting aroma of cakes, muffins and cookies drawing people from their offices in droves.
The reason? To support Nasreen Kaadan’s efforts to raise $20K for lung cancer research (read all about Nasreen and her fundraising journey in CONCERT’s Member of the Month for September.
$2,485 was raised, in what felt like minutes, as staff swarmed down to the Ingham foyer desperate to try Nasreen’s infamous brookies (think brownie/cookie combination) as well as an assortment of her other cookies and cakes.
In addition to Nasreen’s delicious home-made cookies and cakes, staff from Ingham contributed their own home-made baked goods putting on an impressive display of all things sweet.
Due to the enormous support, Nasreen is now even closer to reaching her $20K target.
